THE PURSUIT

The Pursuit of God. It’s amazing what God puts on your heart when you let your mind sit in quiet wonder, or in my case, the vibrations of a motorcycle on the 417 as I rode out to Montreal last summer.

I listened to a book written almost 80 years ago by Theologian/Pastor A.W. Tozer (The Pursuit of God), and it inspired me in such a way that I felt the Spirit nudge - this needs to be shared.

"There are today many millions of people who hold “right opinions,” probably more than ever before in the history of the church. But I wonder if there was ever a time when true spiritual worship was at a lower tide.” A.W. Tozer - The Pursuit of God

IF this was true 80 years ago it makes me wonder where we are today… do we hold right opinions, but lack a spiritual worship in our lives? Have we built the altar, prepared the sacrifice, only to forget the fire or spark needed in igniting our offering? We start the new year with this question in mind… do we pursue God?

Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth. Hosea 6:3

What bible verse or passage gets you the most excited to know God more?If you can’t think of any, is there something that once made you excited you to know God more?
