Short Stories with Jesus Parables, the stories Jesus used to teach some (only a sentence or two long), are where we hear Jesus greatest teachings, and deepest mysteries. As Mark 4.33-34 puts it: "With many such parables he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it; he did not speak to them except in parables, but he explained everything in private to his disciples."
